BODY PARTS.....

The body needs one's legs to walk
Needs hands with which to feel
Without a mouth we'd fail to talk
Nor eat as now a meal

The church of Christ is much the same
Her parts are needed too 1Co.12:12
When void of limbs she too is lame
The same as me and you Eph. 5:30

Apostles are the church's feet
They journey to and fro
While catching fish and planting wheat
They'll teach and help to grow

With Heaven's Truth Christ's church is fed Col.1:24
That none should ever stray
The Lord ordains to serve Life's Bread
A priest to show The Way

Anointed has God's priest to be
With oil from Jesus' hand
Shepherds to Christ must bend the knee
To gain and understand

Prophets are used God word to tell
Where parts should come and go
What each should do to function well
For Heaven's will to flow

Some parts will teach through Christ the Lord
Others will preach the same
Tongues will speak in one accord
And magnify His name

God's gifts are not to be abused
They're Holy; not for fun
They're for His flock and only used
To glorify His Son.....
