Emily's Biography:
Emily Isaacson is artist, postmodern writer and photographer. She is thirty-three years old, and was born in Windsor, Ontario, and grew up in Victoria, B.C. She is both Scottish (on the maternal side) and German, (on the paternal side), and has a Scottish coat of arms as well as a Scottish plaid. She became a poet at age ten and was first published at thirteen.
The Emily Isaacson Institute was founded in 2005 to further literature and the arts, both locally and internationally. We are an affiliate of the Lucy Maud Montgomery Institute and the Canadian Federation of Poets. We work alongside Four Worlds International to provide the First Nations with natural medicine and holistic nutrition.
Emily Isaacson is on the board of the Mission Arts Council, is the director of the Mission Writer's Guild, and is also the founder of The Waterhouse Foundation.
Emily Isaacson's office is Celtic Counselling in downtown Mission where she is available for consultations, as well as at a historic aboriginal healing site, Xa:ytem Longhouse, where she provides natural health sessions along with her colleagues.
